Who is fit to do Paragliding?

There are no restrictions on doing Paragliding, but some physical requirements are recommended:

  • Pregnant females are not recommended
  • No age restrictions. Parental consent is mandatory for the flyers aged from 5 years to 13 years.
  • If one is in good shape of health and physically fit to fly, there is no restriction for age.
  • A weight between 25 kg and 100 kg (approximately 55 lbs to 220 lbs) is the recommended limit for the safety protocols.

Should you have a camera or a phone?

  • The pilot carries a selfie stick that films and records your entire flight. This recording/footage is usually included in your paragliding package. If not, you might have to pay a certain fee to get it, which is worth it.
  • Regarding your phone, please keep it zipped in your pocket so that it won't fall, and do not bring it while paragliding.
  • In addition, you can use a wrist-mounted GoPro or a phone with a secured camera to film your paragliding.
  • The pilot sometimes helps you hold your phone for photos and videos, but it depends on the operator and the terms and conditions.

Do you have any medical conditions?

Despite medical conditions, you can still do paragliding depending on your health status. If you do have any medical conditions, please do inform your operator, the paragliding team, or the pilot. This helps your pilot to fly a straight, gentle path rather than a spinning flight.

How does the weather affect the flight?

The weather is the key factor in operating the flight smoothly. There are frequent flight cancellations during the monsoon season, which is from June to September. If there is any cancellation, we will update you accordingly:

  • Do a full refund for your flight
  • Reschedule to the next available day, depending on your time frame
  • If the weather conditions are unfavorable after you arrive at Sarangkot, you have to wait for 30 to 60 minutes. If the sky gets clear, you fly. If not, you will return with a refund.
  • It is recommended to keep two mornings for paragliding for possible weather alterations.
  • Always maintain your schedule, flexible to accommodate accordingly.
